Children's cough syrup recalled over dosage concerns

GSK Consumer Healthcare has issued a voluntary recall for a number of kids's Robitussin and Dimetapp goods because of dosing cups overlooking graduation markings.

There's a possible threat of accidental overdose when caregivers restarting the syrup don't observe the connection between the graduations published on the dosing cups along with the suggested quantities to be administered," that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration published in an announcement.


The recall is Limited to the 3 lots listed under

Signs of an illness from these types of products incorporate acute cardiovascular and respiratory difficulties in addition to psychotic behavior, hallucinations, seizures, nausea and diarrhea, amongst others.
